SYNOPSIS

Amanda Sue Bradley (Juliette Lewis), con sólo 15 años es arrestada en el estado de Oklahoma y acusada de asesinato.

El abogado de oficio designado para representarla Buddy Trotón (Michael Tucker), preparando el caso, descubre que Amanda Sue fue violada por su padrastro, abandonada por su madre y empujada a las garras de Billy Canton (Brad Pitt), un chulo manipulador.

Forzada a prostituirse para sobrevivir, y adicta a las drogas para hacer frente a la situación, se convierte en cómplice del brutal asesinato de su ex amante, el oficial de la armada Mike Medwicki (Michael O´keefe).
